Synopsis:
At 2:00 a.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 300 kms Northwest of Coron, Palawan (12.8°N 117.2°E).
Forecast:
The Western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread rains over Palawan which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Southern Luzon and Visayas and Mindanao will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over Southern Luzon and Visayas with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the southwest to west with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
