SYNOPSIS:
AT 2:00 AM TODAY, A LOW PRESSURE AREA (LPA) WAS ESTIMATED BASED ON SATELLITE AND SURFACE DATA 860 KMS EAST OF NORTHERN MINDANAO (09.5°N 134.5°E) EMBEDDED ALONG THE INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE (ITCZ) AFFECTING SOUTHERN VISAYAS AND MINDANAO.

FORECAST:
EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON, SOUTHERN VISAYAS AND MINDANAO WILL EXPERIENCE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES WITH SCATTERED RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THE REST OF THE COUNTRY WILL BE PARTLY CLOUDY TO AT TIMES CLOUDY WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS MOSTLY IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING.
MODERATE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING FROM THE SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH WILL PREVAIL OVER EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON AND ITS COASTAL WATERS WILL BE MODERATE TO ROUGH. ELSEWHERE, WINDS WILL BE LIGHT TO MODERATE COMING FROM THE SOUTHEAST AND SOUTH WITH SLIGHT TO MODERATE SEAS.
