Synopsis:
At 2:00 a.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 375 kms east of Extreme Luzon (20.5°N; 126.0°E). Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas.

Forecast:
Luzon will experience monsoon rains which may triggger flashfloods and landslides over the western section while Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afeternoon or evening. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere winds will be light to moderate coming from the south and southwest with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
