Synopsis:
At 2:00 a.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 810 kms east of Luzon (16.0°N; 130.5°E). Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas.

Forecast:
Luzon and Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread rains over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will have partly coudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Central and Southern Luzon and Western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
