Synopsis:
At 2:00 AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 780 kms East Northeast of Mindanao (10.5°N,133.7°E) or 1,180 kms East of Bacolod City. Moderate to strong Southwesterly surface windflow prevailing over Luzon.
Forecast:
Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Luzon with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southeast to Southwest with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
