Synopsis:
At 2:00 a.m. today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 60 kms West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City (10.0°N 118.2°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Forecast:
Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread rains over Palawan which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the east and southeast over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
